Mitzi’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. She came to us after being abandoned and in critical condition, spending time in medical boarding before she was finally cleared to head into foster care. Despite everything she’s been through, Mitzi is safe now and ready to find a very special home.
Mitzi is a deeply sensitive and timid girl who is still learning that the world (and people) can be kind. She is very nervous around humans and will need an adopter who understands that trust takes time. Right now, Mitzi prefers space and quiet companionship over direct interaction and that’s okay. Her ideal person will let her move at her own pace, allowing her to simply be until she’s ready to come closer.
One thing that brings Mitzi comfort is other dogs. She absolutely adores her foster’s 80lb shepherd and enjoys sharing the comfort of a friend.
