Meet Sophie!

Sophie is a lovable, silly, slightly wild girl who is absolutely living her best life and cannot get enough of her second chance! This happy girl has a huge heart, a goofy personality, and an endless supply of love to give. If there’s one thing Sophie believes in, it’s LOVE and lots of it! She absolutely adores children and is thrilled to be around her people. She can get a little overexcited with her affection, though, and her enthusiastic paws and determination to cuddle could accidentally knock over smaller children.

Sophie is also completely obsessed with toys. She loves collecting them and stashing them away in her favorite cozy spots like little treasures. When it comes to treats? She is VERY food motivated, which makes her eager to learn and a fun girl to train.

She currently lives with both a small Chihuahua mix and a large Pit Bull and gets along wonderfully with both. Sophie is a very submissive girl and doesn't mind being at the bottom of the doggy hierarchy especially if there are snacks involved!

Sophie mostly ignores the cats in her foster home but she does have a little chase instinct if a cat swats at her or starts a hissy interaction. Thankfully, the cats are easily able to get away from her and Sophie usually ends up standing there with her floppy ears going every direction, looking around as if to say, “Wait...where did you go?” Because she does enjoy the occasional chase, a home with dog-savvy cats who can comfortably coexist with her would be the better fit.

Sophie is a high energy girl who would thrive with an active family. A home with a tall, secure fence and room to run would be fantastic for her, along with someone who wants to spend plenty of time playing, exploring, training, and simply enjoying life with their dog. She has energy to burn but she also has an enormous capacity for affection.

Most of all, Sophie is a girl who knows she has been given a second chance and she intends to make the absolute most of it. She loves freely, trusts quickly, and brings an infectious happiness everywhere she goes.
