✨ Meet Charlie — From Chains to Couch Cushions ✨
Charlie is a brave, gentle 6-month-old Russell Terrier mix who is finally getting his chance at the good life. He’s only 14.5 pounds, but he has a huge heart and the sweetest spirit.
Before rescue stepped in, Charlie lived his entire life chained outside with no grass, no comfort, and no real kindness. He arrived covered in fleas and so itchy he lost patches of fur. But today? He’s flea-free, healing beautifully, and discovering soft things, kindness, and real love for the very first time.
And he is thriving.
Charlie’s favorite things in his new life:
🛏️ Pillows — he loves to nest in them
🩶 Cozy blankets — the fluffier the better
🐶 Following his humans everywhere
🎁 Light toy play when the mood strikes
💤 Sleeping peacefully all night in his crate
💤 Sleeping peacefully all night in his crate
He’s doing wonderfully with crate training — he may whine a minute at first, but he settles quickly. He sleeps through the night with zero issues and has even stayed calmly in his crate for up to five hours while his foster family is out.
Potty training is coming along nicely, though sometimes he needs a little reassurance that going outside doesn’t mean he’ll be left out there again. Now that he knows what indoor life feels like, he just wants to be sure he’ll always be let back in. His trust grows more every day.
Charlie has medium-to-low puppy energy — he’ll play a bit, but what he really wants is to be near his people and soak up affection. He rides great in the car, is dog-friendly, submissive, and we expect he’d be fine with cats. We expect he’ll be good with kids too (though he loves to jump with excitement).
Charlie is a soft, sweet, loyal little shadow who wants nothing more than a family who will keep him safe and show him that this new life full of pillows, warmth, and love is forever.
If you’re looking for a gentle, easygoing puppy with the best heart — Charlie is ready to come home. 💛
